La Paz Baja California Sur

Carnaval* La Paz 2008 will run from February 14 to Feb 19, 2007 along the waterfront - the Malecon - in La Paz, Baja / Mexico. If you expecting a bunch of half naked individuals running around as it may commonly involve at other locations you are at the wrong place. Carnival in La Paz would best be described as one “serious” street fair. Food, crafts and vendors will line the Malecón from about sunset until 2 or 3 in the morning. Several stages will host a variety of headline entertainment with the main stage most likely being again at the foot of 5 de Mayo near the band stand (no confirmation on that yet.)

*Please note the correct spelling is - “Carnaval” meaning the end of carne (meat) for the period of Lent. We spelled it both ways for the purpose of SEO.
