The Gen. Manuel de Leon Airport is about 18km (11 miles) northwest of town along the highway to Ciudad Constitución and Tijuana.
Airport collectivos (around $20) – “certified” taxi’s / vans run only from the airport to town, not vice versa. (as with all the information we provide – changes can occur on a daily note, in prices and terms…..). Taxi service (around 200 pesos) is available as well. Most major rental car agencies have booths inside the airport. We recommend if you want to visit all the beaches and do some day tours to arrange a car rental before you arrive. There are good specials to find on the internet, also here on the La Paz Infotheque. We can report about good experiences friends visiting La Paz had with the rental car companies in La Paz displayed on this page. All got great cars, great service and there been no problems!!
